Hydrogen Recovery from Off-Gas System
Hydrogen Recovery from Off-Gas System
Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) is a physical adsorption process that separates gases by utilizing the different adsorption capacities of various gases on an adsorbent. It also utilizes the relationship between the adsorption capacity of the same group of gases on the adsorbent and the partial pressure of the gases to purify the gas and regenerate the adsorbent.
PSA for hydrogen extraction utilizes the selective adsorption of non-hydrogen components from a hydrogen-rich gas mixture under pressure, thereby separating hydrogen from other gases. Simultaneously, under depressurization, the adsorbent releases the adsorbed impurities, regaining its adsorption capacity.
